2008 Classes

Thursday Knitting Circle
Every Thursday Starting May1st from 10:30 to 12:30 p.m. 

Skill Level: None needed, but not for first time knitters.

Instructor: Melinda Keba

Cost: $15 per session; register early to save your spot - however, walk-ins are welcome!!

Description: This is a great opportunity to finish up those projects you’ve been stuck on or ones that you just haven’t had a chance to get to, but need a little hand-holding! Feel free to bring more than one project!

 

Socks
Wednesday May 14th and 21st and 28th from 3:00 to 4:30 p.m. 

Skill Level: Beginner to intermediate. Must know how to cast on, knit, purl. You will learn how to pick up stitches, decrease and how to do the kitchner stitch. 

Instructor: Megan Martens

Cost: $30; supplies purchased separately, about $15 on up depending on yarn and needle choice. 

Description: You will learn the classic knitting project! Build on your basic skills to make a fitted, shaped sock; a perfect project for the person who already has too many scarves. We will learn to deal with double pointed needles, knit ribbing, turn a heel and close a toe. 

Beginning Knitting
Saturday May 17th from 1-4 

Skill Level: New knitters! 

Instructor: Megan Martens

Cost: $25; supplies purchased separately. 

Description: You will learn how to cast on, knit, purl, and cast off!! 

Entrelac
Thursday May 15th and 22nd from 1-3 

Skill Level: Intermediate - you must know how to cast on, bind off, knit and purl. 

Instructor: Megan Martens

Cost: $30; supplies purchased separately. Instructor to provide pattern.

Description: Are you ready to take the next step with your knitting? If so, then join us for this class! Entrelac is a beautiful and unusual texture technique used to make scarves, wraps, purses and many other objects. We will make a simple entrelac scarf to learn this fun technique!
